
Maldives National Defence Force and Indian Army is conducting a military joint exercise called “Ekuverin” meaning “Friends” in MNDF headquarters L.Kaddoo. The Chief Guest of the ceremony which was held to begin the exercise was Brigadier Ahmed Naeem Mohamed of MNDF. Indian Defence Advisor for Maldives, Captain Suraj Berry and the Commanding officer Colonel Faruhath Shaheer of Defence Institute for Training and Education also participated in this ceremony. In addition, army personnel from both MNDF and India participated in the ceremony. The purpose of this exercise is to improve military skills of both countries and to enhance the ability to conduct joint operations. This exercise will extend till 16th of this month.
