MNDF Recognizes remarkable service and outstanding achievement

On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of MNDF, a special ceremony to recognize remarkable service and outstanding achievement was held at Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi last night. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was the Minister of Defence and National Security and the Deputy Commander in Chief Honorable Ismail Shafeeu. Chief of Staff Major General Mohamed Zahir and some officers of MNDF participated in the ceremony. Major Mohamed Ziyad gave the welcoming speech with a word of thanks. In this ceremony, the new addition of the book “Code of Punishment” was launched by the Chief Guest Honorable Ismail Shafeeu.

In this ceremony, personnel who have won competitions at National and International level in the field of sports and recreation were recognized. Also personnel who have won 1st place in academic field were awarded mementos of recognition by the Chief of Staff Major General Mohamed Zahir. MNDF personnel who have shown exceptional performance in fulfilling their duties were presented with shields by the Chief Guest Honorable Ismail Shafeeu. After saying a prayer to the Almighty, the ceremony closed with the MNDF song.
