Arrest warrants issued in India against Richard Gere and Shilpa Shetty over alleged obscenity have been temporarily suspended.
The controversial clinch
The Hollywood and Bollywood stars were alleged to have broken public obscenity laws when Gere kissed Shetty last month.
Gere embraced and kissed Shetty on her cheek at a public AIDS awareness event in New Delhi on April 15.
Hindu hardliners alleged that the action offended the sensibilities of India's traditionally conservative culture.
